March is Reading Month Parent Letter

March is Reading Month

Jungle:  Elephants, Tigers, and Books, OH MY!

Dear Families,

It is time to celebrate books with March is Reading Month!

Beginning Monday, your child will bring home a weekly reading log.  This log is to keep track of how many minutes a student has read at home each week.  Every Monday, these forms can be turned into your child’s teacher. Then, your child will bring home a new reading log for the week.  The competition will run from March 2 - March 31. The class that reads for the longest amount of time will win a surprise.

We also have a fun calendar planned with dress-up days, read and feeds, and a family night.  Reminder, the read and feeds are days where students can bring their own snacks from home. The book fair will also be here March 16-20.  See the back of this letter for the monthly calendar.

Important Dates to Remember:

  • Friday, March 6th - Popcorn Sale
